John started his geekdom at an early age. He started watching Nickelodeon cartoons “Ren and Stimpy”, “Rocko’s modern life”, “Invader Zim,” along with other animated classics, such as the Looney toon. He introduced to sci fi thanks to “Star wars” (original trilogy) and “Star trek: The Next Generation” at age 11. He expanded his sci-fi fandom by finding other shows like “Babylon 5”, “Farscape”. John At age 12 started historic re-enacting which found and connected with the hidden geeks in toughs groups and a love for theater. He became an anime fan in his junior years of high school watching “Gundam Wing” and “Outlaw Star.” He later became a student of traditional Japanese swordsmanship for the last 6 years. He joined the Geek Kon staff their second year (2008) after attending the first year. Since then he has been active in the foam boffer group called Amtguard, recreating “Lord of the Rings”, and walking with zombies dressed as Shawn from “Shawn of the dead.”
