I think the bigger question here is of those who have at least tried it, who DOESN'T like Final Fantasy?

XIII might actually give me a reason to buy a PS3. It looks like a similar style to VIII, which I loved.

7 and 10 are my faves. I love the storylines.

I've only played X, III, and VIII, in that order, along with some side ones. I really wanna try VII and IX though.

I've been listening to the L33t Str33t Boys too much today. XDD

Umm, no. While it is in the world of Final Fantasy VII, it is not an RPG so I don't think it would count as playing a Final Fantasy RPG game. ;)

;) I figured it wasn't a role-playing game..considering it was just Vincent running around killing everything...[...it sucked as a game either-way.] e_e; I played one of the older final fantasies on PlayStation,as well as the one for game cube where they're little kids. *shrugs* So im not completely 'final-fantasy-knowledgeless- I guess I just didn't really find it all that fun I suppose..the Advent Children movie was good though.

I started with final fantasy 1 for the nes when I was 6 and have played pretty much all of them. I've honestly gotta say that I despise the direction they've taken the series after FF10. X-2 was horrid, 12 was just plain boring and I hate 13. They've departed so much from the past of what made it a good series to go with the hip and trendy approach. Square enix pretty much stopped putting out quality games around the time that Sakaguchi left them. They no longer possess the charm they once had.

Yes, seeing as how the first 20 hours of 13 I was told are just horrid and then after it's a grind-fest to get leveled up, the games just don't seem fun anymore.

They're far more concerned about making them look cool rather than actually creating a good game. Aside from the graphics, everything else was 2nd rate at best. The rpg genre as a whole is declining and final fantasy is leading the charge. I own 1-13 and it's just very saddening to see how horrible the series has become without Sakaguchi's guiding hand.

I'm not a very good judge on these things. I will say that I got into Kingdom Hearts first and do like the series. And out of the Final Fantasy games I own, X is my favorite.

Not that I'm all that far in the other ones. XD

Kefka, from Final Fantasy VI (Final Fantasy III in the US) is probably my favorite RPG villain.

LOL I've been playing it so much that I forgot to mention to anyone that I got Final Fantasy IX last week. I'm on disk two. Switching disks amuses me.

As do thieves and people with tails.

I think we can all agree FF is amazing. Thus we should organize a FF7 speed run in one sitting. We can swap out when someone needs to go to the bathroom or needs a break or something lol
