Geek.kon is proud to have RPGs as part of its convention. Wisconsin is the birthplace of the table-top RPG, and is still one of the largest table-top RPG hubs in the United States today. Geek.kon honors this tradition by holding various RPGs from throughout the history of gaming, from the fantasy based staple Dungeons and Dragons, to the futuristic Battletech and Shadowrun.

What is an RPG?
RPGs are essentially interactive stories in which YOU become a participant and character, as told by the Gamemaster, or GM. You control what your character says or does in this world, and the GM shows the reaction to it. The GM provides an adventure for character to go on, goals to achieve, and hopefully you have fun while your character achives them.

What do I need to run an RPG?
Three things: Paper, pencil, and dice. You can bring your own, but if you do not have them, Geek.kon may have some to loan at the RPG table.

What do I need to do to play an RPG?
Sign up sheets will be available at the con registration table at later in the RPG room. All event sign ups are on a first come, first serve basis, so come early!

What do I need to sign up to run a RPG?
